About Me

Hi, I'm Jennifer, and thank you for visiting my site.
Originally from New Brunswick, my husband and I packed our 3 cats and everything else we could fit into our little VW, and drove 5600+ km (3400+ miles) cross country to Vancouver Island. Here is where I first started on my flameworking obsession.
In 2015 we decided we were to far from friends and family so we relocated back to New Brunswick. The move hasn't diminished my fascination with glass and I have setup a home studio on this coast.
I love being able to take a glass rod and put it into a flame, add different color glass, use different techniques to shape and design the beads, and end up with a one of a kind glass bead which I have created. I then like to add sterling silver findings to the beads to make a finished jewelry product that is ready to wear.
While blue is without a doubt my favorite color, I try and create a wide array of colors in my jewelry designs.
I use a Nortel Mega Minor torch connected to Propane and a 20LPM Oxygen Concentrator. I use a variety of brass tools to shape and design the beads and then I anneal them in my BlueBird XL kiln.
I hope you find something from my designs that fit your style and personality.
Thanks,
Jenn
